Open a typical textbook, spreadsheet or annotated PDF. A larger panel can keep more content visible at a comfortable text size, while the smaller Air fits more easily on a cramped desk. Think about whether you usually hold the tablet or leave it on a stand.
The difference also includes brightness: Apple specifies 500 nits for the 11-inch Air and 600 for the 13-inch model. Both use LED-backlit IPS Liquid Retina panels. Moving to the larger Air does not give it the Pro display system.
Both sizes provide 12GB unified memory and the same storage choices. The 13-inch version does not automatically contain more room for your files. Decide capacity independently and compare equivalent Wi-Fi or Cellular configurations when assessing a price difference.
